Marylebone Warwick Balfour to sell hotels business
28/07/2005
Marylebone Warwick Balfour, the UK property business, is considering options for its boutique hotel businesses, according to Malmaison Group chief executive Robert Cook. Cook. He stated that MWB was considering options for both its Malmaison and Hotel du Vin chains but that a flotation or a trade sale were the most likely outcomes. He added that a decision was likely to be made in approximately a year. MWB has announced a refinancing package that included £30m of new funding from the Royal Bank of Scotland. It added that RBS now has a 17.5% share in Malmaison as a result.
