Glanbia, which employs about 400 people at its Roscrea factories in Ireland, confirmed recently that it has entered into negotiations that may lead to a sale of the meats business. The sale is no surprise for some given the low margin of the meat business. The sale price is likely to be low, not exceeding €10m.
