Morgan Grenfell Private Equity, which recently agreed to pay £1.62bn for the Whitbread pub estate, is already considering the sale of between 500 to 1,000 of the 3000 pubs it acquired for £500m, after receiving a large number of offers. MGPE is believed to be drawing up selective disposal plans.
