Nash Insurance Consultants heading for a sale
21/08/2006
Nash Insurance Consultants could be headed for sale after Ernst & Young's appointment to look into the group's strategic options. The unattributed piece said the sale could come as soon as the beginning of September. The Cheshire-based group started out providing insurance for vintage motorbikes and now covers home, travel and car insurance. Carol Nash stands to make £70m on the sale of 68% of the business if it is sold. Her children, Jane and Malcolm, own the remainder of the company and are both directors. The group has a turnover of £25m, on which it made a profit of £2.8m
