Next Generation Clubs - Business Sale
01/04/2004
David Lloyd, the former tennis star who sold his eponymous leisure club chain to Whitbread in 1995 for £200m, could be in line for a second windfall amid suggestions that he is gearing up to float or sell his Next Generation Clubs business. Mr Lloyd, who set up Next Generation in 1996 with his son, Scott, after falling out with Whitbread, has ten fitness and racquets clubs in Britain and three in Australia, although it is understood that only the UK clubs would be sold off or floated.
