Industry pundits expect Northern Foods to be pared down over the next 18 to 24 months to three core divisions - chilled ready meals, frozen food and its Foxes biscuit business. Everything else, including the NFT distribution business and Batchelors, the canned foods operation, will be up for sale at the right price.
