After a profit warning, Northern Foods has been forced to take action to bolster its ailing business. It has sold Fox's Confectionery to management and is looking to sell its Paynes factory site in Coydon. It is unclear at this stage whether The Fox's biscuits business is being put up for sale. The division has been one of the poorest performers for Northern lately and is regarded by analysts as being a poor fit.
