NRG, the Minneapolis-based energy company, is selling off its British assets, following heavy losses in the wake of the Enron collapse. NRG now wants to focus primarily on its domestic operations. Assets include the Killingholme plant in Lincolnshire, a share in a gas unit in Enfield and the rights to develop a £600m plant and energy park at Langage, near Plymouth.
