NTL, the telecoms and cable TV group, will possibly put its broadcast business up for sale within the next few months with an asking price of about £1bn. NTL, which tried to sell the broadcast business two years ago while it was in the middle of a radical financial restructuring, has decided that the division is no longer a core interest.
