NTT DoCoMo, the Japanese mobile phone company, is reviewing its relationship with telecom partner Hutchison in the UK, including a possible sale of its 20 per cent stake in 3 UK, as part of a broad review of its global strategy. The decision to explore a potential exit from 3 UK comes as the carrier has struggled to sign customers for its third generation service and dragged its feet in launching an i-mode service.
