OPD Group, the British recruitment company, has said that it is in talks to buy Imprint Plc, it's smaller rival. OPD's proposed offer is for 5 new OPD shares and 140 pence in cash per 14 Imprint shares. OPD has built a stake in Imprint over the last three months, and has been given clearance by the Takeover Panel, with Imprint's agreement, to make the offer.
