The co-owner of Nottingham-based Alliance Boots, Stefano Pessina, may consider selling the UK-based pharmaceutical wholesaler and retail chemists business.Pessina purchased Alliance Boots jointly with the buyout group Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) for £11.1bn in 2007.It is the intention of the owners to find out whether the manufacturing business can operate as a stand-alone. A valuation for the manufacturing business has not yet been disclosed.
