Publisher Pearson has reportedly put its image-scanner manufacturing unit up for sale. The unit, which supplies scanners which "read" educational test papers and scripts, is part of the Pearson Assessments group. Pearson acquired the business when it bought National Computer Systems in 2000. The sale is expected to fetch £100m.
