Golf's governing body has hived off its commercial activities into a new company structure in the biggest shake-up in 250 years.But the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews played down any suggestion that the move was a precursor to a sale of the commercial side to generate windfalls for its 2,400 members. The new structure legally separates the championship, commercial and rule-making sides of the R&A from its members.
