Royal & Sun Alliance has extended the deadline for submission of final bids for its investment management arm due to a lack of formal offers. Royal & Sun Alliance is also trying to get rid of its life fund. Bob Mendelsohn, chief executive, plans to raise £800m this year through the disposal of non-core assets.
