Solanki Frozen Foods, the family owned importer and distributor of ethnic foods, has apparently received a number of approaches for the business and the owners consider a sale to be one of a number of strategic options for the company. Established for 25 years, Solanki has grown to become a supplier to top retailers including Tesco, and occupies a strong market position. It distributes a number of ethnic foods, including vegetables, curry sauces and ready meals, under the Taj brand. The company has a turnover of £10m.
