Sara Lee trying to speed up sale of Courtaulds

Sara Lee Apparel is trying to speed through the sale of its British Sara Lee Courtaulds textile business by agreeing to assume $483m of pension obligations. The move comes after Sara Lee completed the $118m sale of its European branded apparel business to US private investment firm Sun Capital Partners, Inc. in early February.
