Seymour Pierce: Rumours of approaches
12/06/2006
Seymour Pierce, the London-based stockbroker, is rumoured to have made an approach to a potential buyer via its financial advisors. It has been reported that the executive chairman Keith Harris has been considering a sale of the company for several months and aims to fetch £150m from it. Specialists believe that £50m is a more realistic figure, with Kaupthing, the Icelandic bank, and US investment bank Jefferies named as potential buyers. Seymour Pierce deny that any approaches have been made.
