SigmaKalon, the European paint supplier, is expected to be put up for sale in 2007 for around £1.3m. Owners Bain Capital bought the business in 2002 for £505m and according to insiders the business' performance has exceeded expectations, prompting Bain to now look for an exit. Possible advisers to a deal include Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank, who have both worked with the company before.
