Associated Newspapers has acquired SimplySwitch, the utility, broadband and phone price comparison service, for £22m. The deal consists of £16.5m in cash, with the remainder to be paid as a three-year earn out. Simply Switch will become part of Associated Newspapers' digital division, Associated Norcliffe Digital. It will continue to operate independently. SimplySwitch's projected revenue for the year ending September 30th 2006 is £6.5m.
