Spirent, the London-listed telecoms-equipment supplier, is rumoured to be on the verge of announcing the availability for sale of some of its assets. The disposals are expected to be made of non-core assets. Spirent has been the subject of hopes a predator may effect a takeover in the wake of the ousting of chairman John Weston.
