The auction of Cabot Financial, which buys overdue consumer debt from high street banks, has attracted over 50 interested parties. The eventual buyer of the Barclays Private Equity-owned company is tipped to be from the private equity arena, but interest has been expressed from both private equity and trade buyers from Europe and the US.
