Daily Mail & General Trust has sold its Study Group International language training business to CHAMP Private Equity and Petersen Investments for £75m. Study Group provides university pathway and degree courses for international students in Australia, the UK, the USA, Canada and New Zealand. Its well-known brands include Bellerbys College in the UK, Taylors College in Australia and New Zealand, and Embassy CES internationally. CHAMP is Australia's largest independent buyout funds manager. Alongside Study Group, its portfolio includes International Energy Services and United Malt Holdings. Director of Petersen Investments, Mr Arvid Peterson, was previously a director of Study Group and will now become its chairman.
