Sunshine Gas, the listed Australian energy company, is tipped to divest either its UK owned subsidiary Sunshine Oil plc, or its Australian division. The company is thought to be focused on developing operations within Queensland, and will retain the Australian arm of the business unless drilling in the UK during 2006 produces very positive results. Sunshine Gas has a market capitalisation of $53m.
