Tchenguiz consortium wins battle for La Tasca
04/05/2007
A consortium led by property magnate Robert Tchenguiz has won the battle for Spanish-themed restaurant chain La Tasca, who had previously agreed to be bought by restaurant group Tragus. The consortium's bidding vehicle LAT Holdings has 53.9 per cent backing for its 200-pence-a-share offer, which tops Tragus' eventual 192-pence-a-share bid. Tragus originally agreed to but La Tasca in March for £96m.
