Telewest is considering the sale of Flextech, its cable television content division, according to a report in the Sunday Times. Telewest management is believed to be asking up to £800m for Flextech, the report said. The Telewest board is considering several options for the division ahead of an anticipated merger with NTL, Telewest's UK-listed competitor. ITV, BSkyB and RTL are considered likely bidders for Flextech.
