The formal auction process has started for the sale of Adams, the chewing gum and pharmaceutical foods business of US pharmaceuticals group Pfizer. Amongst the number of prospective buyers is believed to be Cadbury's, which was also in the running to buy Hershey. Cadbury's may decide to team up with rival Nestle to bid for the business. Kraft and Wrigley are also expected to bid for Adams.
