Thomas Cook is to sell 4 holiday businesses
16/01/2006
Thomas Cook, the German travel agency, has hired Ernst & Young to sell four of its holiday businesses. The businesses for sale are Club 18-30, Neilson, Style, and Sun World. It is not known if the businesses will be sold together or piecemeal. The four businesses are believed to be valued at around £30m in total. Buyout groups are the most likely buyers for the businesses, but competitors like First Choice and Kuoni might consider bidding, the report said. There is a possibility of MBO bids, particularly for Neilson, the skiing tour operator.
