Caudwell Group, the UK telecoms and recruitment groupfounded by John Caudwell, has received three takeover offers of more than £1bn. Providence Equity Partners and CVC Capital; Warburg Pincus; and Nordic Capital, with Bain Capital, are said to have made the approaches. John Caudwell is expected to choose an exclusive bidder within weeks. It noted that he is still an 85% stakeholder in the company he founded in 1987. Caudwell Group encompasses Phones4U, Caudwell Communications, Dexia and Cornerstone Resourcing.
