Tindle to sell of some of his radio and newspaper assets
12/03/2007
Sir Ray Tindle could reportedly put some of his UK local newspaper and radio assets up for sale. Tindle, now aged 81, plans to step back from the business this year and will scale down his empire of 200 local newspapers and 14 local radio stations. Any radio assets put up for sale are likely to attract the interest of media groups UTV and GCap. Tindle's newspaper business has a turnover of £33m to March 2006, while the radio business is forecast to turn over £10m this year.
