Toby Blackwell, former chairman and majority shareholder, wishes to sell Blackwell's, the Oxford based academic publisher. However, other family members are planning a possible flotation within the next three years. Blackwell's is not believed to be talking to any potential buyers. Possible bidders could include Taylor & Francis, Wolters Kluwer of the Netherlands, and John Wiley & Sons of the US. The group has now received several expressions of interest.
