According to reports the London-based foreign-exchange group Travelex could be up for sale in the future, as its founder Lloyd Dorfman has predicted that shareholder Apax will seek an exit within 12 to 18 months. Mr Dorfman then expects to examine the markets and decide on the future of his own 30% shareholding. There has been talk of Travelex being a target for predators, with ICBC, the state-controlled Chinese bank, having been tipped as a possible buyer.
