Trinity Mirror - Division Sale
01/08/2003
Trinity Mirror is under pressure to carry out a radical overhaul of its operations. This could be the sale of its national newspaper the Daily Mirror meaning it could concentrate on its 260 regional papers. However, Sly Bailey, the chief executive, is expected to announce a more traditional tabloid focus for the Mirror. Potential buyers are already in discussions with Trinity over its Northern Ireland titles including Derry Journal, the Donegal Democrat and the Belfast News which could fetch upto £30-£40m.
