Trinity Mirror has launched a strategic review that could see its national and regional businesses separated,following an appraisal. Analysts that cover the stock believe the company could sell part or all of its regional titles, but national titles such as The Mirror are too much of a trophy asset to get rid of. One analyst has cited Trinity's Southern English regional titles as the most likely candidate for a sale and suggested David Montgomery, the former Daily Mirror boss, as a potential financial buyer. Trinity Mirror has a market cap of £1.37bn.
