Rok is to acquire Tulloch Construction Group, the building and related services business with 875 staff in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Elgin, Fort William, Inverness, Tain, Nairn and Thurso, for £31m. Tulloch Group will retain its smaller, more profitable house building business and will reinvest all proceeds from the sale. The acquisition will bring Rok's turnover to around £220m in Scotland and £900m accross the UK. The group will retain the Tulloch brand name in the north of Scotland and the head of Tulloch Construction, George Taylor, will become Rok's managing director in Scotland.
