US conclomerate Tyco has announced plans to cut 7,200 jobs and sell businesses as it continued to distance itself from the tenure of former chief executive Dennis Kozlowski, who is on trial for allegedly looting the company. The biggest business up for sale is Tyco Global Network, billed as the world's largest undersea fibre optic telecom network. Other disposals are across the range of divisions in Tyco including fire alarms and security systems, plastics and engineered products.
