Unilever, the Anglo Dutch consumer products and food group, will continue with disposals from its portfolio but plans no major acquisitions in response to the Proctor & Gamble/Gillette acquisition, said Patrick Cescau, now Group Chief Executive. Speaking on a conference call to present full year results, Cescau said that the sale of businesses in Q4 whose disposal had not been in the original Path to Growth plan, would continue. 'Absolutely, we will continue to demand from the businesses that they demonstrate that they can systematically deliver value. Yes, we will continue to trim the portfolio as necessary,' he said.
