Virgin Media, the UK-listed cable telecoms group, is said to be assessing how its business telecoms arm, NTL:Telewest, fits into its core broadband, television and phone services operations, which could lead to a weighing up of options including a sale. A potential sale value has not yet been estimated for the unit, which generated revenue of £168.8m last quarter.
