Volantis, the private UK wireless software developer, is to grow aggressively before considering a trade sale, according to chief executive Matt Harris. With a sale the most likely exit scenario further down the line. Volantis has so far raised USD 30m, and Harris does not expect further strategic fundraising. The company's technology platform provides multi-channel deployment solutions for mobile network operators, content providers, service providers and enterprises, deployed across a variety of devices.Harris joined Volantis in March with a remit to grow the company aggressively. Employee numbers have increased from 55 at that time to 121, and should reach around 140 by the end of the year. Revenue has risen from USD 7m last year to a projected 16-17 this year and 30m in 2006.
