Walt Disney - Division Sale
26/09/2003
Dreaming of a happy ending, Walt Disney has hired Goldman Sachs to help it sell its troubled chain of Disney Stores in North America and Europe for up to $500m (£310m). The company is hoping to sell the 480-strong chain as a going concern and Goldmans is expected to release details of the sale in the next few weeks. Private equity firms, including Electra Partners, are lining up to take a look at the business. KKR, Permira and PPM Ventures are also thought to be interested.
