Spiritel is to acquire Callplan, the telecoms services company that sells through a network of more than 70 independent agents, for up to £0.6m. Founded in 2003, Callplan has over 170 SME and corporate clients and markets products and services on behalf of Australia's national telecoms company Telestra. Spiritel anticipate that the acquisition will be immediately earnings-enhancing, and will integrate Callplan into its Spiritel Retail division, which has formed to deliver Spiritel's planned direct-to-consumer initiatives.
