Yule Catto has sold its Reabrook chemical products business in Derbyshire to a management buy-out for £4m, securing the future of 200 jobs. The management team at Reabrook bought the business from Harlow-based chemicals giant Yule Catto & Co plc, a FTSE-listed company with an annual turnover of more than £550m. The company makes and packs chemicals products ranging from industrial and automotive cleaners to aerosol based personal hygiene and industrial products. Rixonway, the Dewsbury-based kitchen manufacturer with 285 staff, has undergone a £20m management buy-out backed by private equity firm August Equity. Shaw Cross-based Rixonway Kitchens, the UK's largest manufacturer solely supplying the social housing sector, was bought by former sales and marketing director Paul Rose, who is now the company's managing director, Mark Gibson, Nick Greenall and Julian Dudley.
