Thu, 17 Aug 2006: AT Communications has acquired Rocom, the telecoms equipment supplier with offices in Wetherby, London and Manchester, for £17.6m in cash. Rocom serves the corporate, re-seller and distribution markets and has 30,000 customers including Lloyds TSB, Sainsburys, Comet, Amazon, Telewest and HP. It has nearly 200 employees. The deal will be financed through a new arrangement with Barclays Bank and a vendor placing of 7,291,667 new ordinary shares at 48 pence per share with certain institutional investors. Rocom will continue to trade under its own name.
