Doson Limited, a family-run care home group, has purchased three care homes from County Durham-based Autumn Care Group for £5.15m.
Doson has bought Stockton Lodge Care Home, Seaham, and Denehurst Care Home in Ferryhill, both County Durham, and The White House Nursing Home in Jarrow, South Tyneside.
The acquisition was supported by The Royal Bank of Scotland. Doson’s care home portfolio has been increased to seven. The 100 employees who are based at the three care homes being sold are to remain there.
Doson was established in 1999 and is owned by husband and wife Kanagasabai and Gunararthy Logendra.
The Autumn Care Group runs five care homes across North Yorkshire and Northumberland.
Chairman, Alan Lax has retained the Whitworth Hall Hotel which Autumn Care purchased for an undisclosed sum in 2006.
