Le Frog Bistro, the chain of five french restaurants located in the North-West, has gone into administration.
Begbies Traynor are managing the administration of the Le Frog outlets and have appointed Christie & Co, the licensed property agent, to handle the sale.
The restaurants are in Ormskirk, Fulwood, Wigan, Warrington and St Helens.
The Le Frog chain, along with the Pastiche Bistro and Smollensky’s brands, are supported by Octopus Private Equity. Octopus’s other restaurants, including Smollensky's, are also thought to be on the market.
Paul Lilley, Managing Director of The Shire Group and owner of Le Frog, added Smollensky’s to his portfolio of restaurants in September last year. The acquisition was supported by Octopus.
Paul Lilley established The Shire Group in 2005. Since then the Group has bought the Midlands based, Pastiche Bistro chain and the Le Frog Bistro chain in the North West.
