03/06/2008
The property developer, Hurstwood Construction, which is part of Haslingden-based Hurstwood Group, has gone into administration. Fifteen white-collar jobs could be lost as a result.
The decision was prompted by cash flow problems on a £10m regeneration scheme in Glossop, Derbyshire. Last year the property developer had a turnover of £21.3m. Begbies Traynor, the insolvency practitioner, has been appointed as the administrator It is thought that Hurstwood Group's commercial, investment, development, house building and land trading divisions will not be affected by the construction section entering into administration. Hurstwood employs 100 people at its Rossendale base. Hurstwood Construction has clients in the retail, leisure, industrial, commercial, vehicle retail and education sectors. |
