| UK Businesses For SaleJDR Distribution has gone into asdminstration
02/05/2008
JDR Distribution, based in Tamworth, has gone into administration less than a year after it was rebranded as a 24-hour delivery service called moved4u.
Cooper Parry LLP, Insolvency practitioner, has been appointed as administrators for the company. It is thought that the company had generated £1m worth of debt before going into administration. JDR was established in 1980 as a traditional haulage company, and clients included Caterpillar, Rover and Unipart. The company's services had gone on to include international distribution and storage and distribution logistics for large businesses. In 2006, Jarrod Baughan became managing director after JDR underwent a management buy-out. The company then re-branded in 2007 as moved4u, a service that offered ad-hoc, 24-hour pallet deliveries to businesses from the north-west to south-east of England. As yet the number of staff who have lost their jobs is unclear. |
