Telecoms group Cable & Wireless have been at the centre of rumours that they are considering a break up, after(C&W) is weighing up the idea of a break-up, after a report that several options are under consideration, but the most probable outcome is dismemberment. Cable & Wireless have spoken out to say that talk of a split is "premature". Reliance Industries of India and Telecom Italia have been named as possible buyers, and it was noted that as any bid would need to value the company at at least 228p per share to enable 60 C&W executives to pick up a combined bonus pool of £200m.
