Filtronic is reportedly considering further disposals following the sale of its wireless infrastructure division. The UK-listed electronics group is in the final stages of agreeing a sale to US company Powerwave Technologies. Some shareholders are apparently hopeful that new chairman John Poulter will dispose of more units such as the company's defence electronics divisions and a semiconductor foundry, while others are angry that alternatives to selling the wireless arm, such as an MBO, were not fully explored. Filtronic has a market capitalisation of £157m.
