Moneybookers to undergo a strategic review

Moneybookers, the UK-based ePayment provider, could be up for sale after appointing LongAcre Partners to conduct a strategic review of the business. The business, which has around 2.3 million account holders, is expected to have an asking price of between €100m and €200m. Interest is expected to come from both financial institutions and large internet organisations. Revenue for 2006 is predicted to be around €8m with pre-tax profits of approximately €4m.
